EPFO E- Nomination Online Submission Process

EPFO E- nomination can be submitted online by the provident fund subscriber via UAN portal. It is quit necessary for every provident fund member to submit their nominee details in the portal to get seamless benefit.

In this article I will let you know what is the requirement before submission of e- nomination in provident fund and step by step guide in nominee details submission.

Requirement before filling E- Nomination

Before filling e- nomination you must ensure to update the Profile section in EPFO Member portal otherwise you will not be able to submit the nomination:

  • Your Aadhaar must be linked with your UAN number. Only Aadhaar verified UAN holder can file e- nomination.
  • Your Father name or husband name must be available in your UAN portal.
  • Your marital status, profile picture, address must be updated in profile section of your PF member portal.

Important note before filling E- Nomination

  • If the PF member is not married he can add either father or mother or both as PF nominee.
  • If the PF member is married his/her spouse or children could be the nominee. If PF member is married it is mandatory to add spouse, children as nominee even the subscriber does not want his/her spouse or children as PF nominee.

  • Aadhaar number, proper address, bank account details, passport photo of the nominee is mandatorily required for e- nomination.
  • The size of the passport photograph should be less than 100 KB in jpeg format and image should be clear.

Process of filling E- Nomination

Request you to follow the below step by step guide for e- nomination filling:

  • Visit EPFO Member Portal.
  • Log in using your UAN and Password.
  • If your profile section is not updated as mentioned above then request you to update the same by clicking on View> Profile.
  • Upload your passport photo in the profile, update marital status if not updated and update your address details.

Family Details Update for E- Nomination

Follow the below process to update family details required for e- nomination:

  • Click to Manage section of your member home page.
  • Click on E- Nomination from the drop down menu.
  • You will be landed to the below page where you need to provide your family details like Aadhaar number, name DOB, Gender, relationship address, bank account details and passport size photograph of the nominee and click on save details.
  • If you are nominating more than one family member then click on Add Row and fill the same details for the family member again and click on save details.
  • In next step PF member need to save the EPF Nomination followed by providing total number of shares in percentage.
  • If there are more family member registered as nominee then the PF member can fix the shares. In case of one family member percentage would be 100%.

Process of E- sign

Follow the below process for signing the e- nomination:

  • After successful submission of family details PF member need to click on the e-sign and he will be redirected to another page where he will be asked to provide his Aadhaar Virtual ID.
  • After entering VID click on the check box and click on verify.

  • After clicking on verify member will be landed to another page shown as in below where he need to provide his Aadhaar number and verify with OTP.
  • After successful OTP verification member e- nomination details will be successfully registered.

How to download E- Nomination form after successful nominee submission

  • After successful registration of e- nomination PF member can download the e- nomination form by clicking on the option available below the Nomination details as shown in the below image.
  • After that digitally signed and pre- filled nomination form will be downloaded and saved to local storage.

How to change the EPFO E- Nomination Details?

PF Member can change the nominee details at any point of time he wishes. If PF member submit new nominee details then again he need to initiate the e-sign for fresh nomination.

No editing of the existing nomination is available after e-sign. But after submitting new nominee details the previous nominee details become invalid.

PF member should try to update the nominee details if there is a change in the family due to birth of new child or death of family member. This will help the family member to correctly get their dues.
