Puja Bonus & Festival Bonus Rule in India

Bonus was regarded as an ex-gratia payment made by an employer.

Every year employer provide Bonus to eligible employee before puja or Diwali.

Employee should have worked for at least 30 days to be eligible to receive Bonus.

Eligible Employees Salary Should be less than 21000/- at present.

Minimum Bonus is 8.33% of salary or wages.

Maximum Bonus could be 20% of salary or wages depends on the desire of the employer to pay.

Non Payment of Bonus under the Provision of of the Bonus Act may attract to penalties for employer.
