Private Security Guards Minimum wages in Assam has been revised by the Labour Welfare Department recently in 2024 with effect from 01/07/2023.
The effective Minimum wages payable to the ASO, Supervisor, Gunmen(Armed) and security guard(un-armed) engaged under Security Agency Houses in the state of Assam provided in the below table: (all values in rupees).

Private Security Guards Minimum wages in Assam has been revised by the Labour Welfare Department recently in 2023.
The effective Minimum wages payable to the employees/workers engaged under Security Agency Houses in the state of Assam provided in the below table: (all values in rupees).

Notification in 2021 : Private Security Guards Minimum wages in Assam
Private Security Guards Minimum wages in Assam revised in 2021 by order of the Governor of Assam.
Via notification number GLR(RC)81/2005/Pt/15 dated 9th August, 2021, Labour and Welfare Department of Assam published the notification to increase the VDA (Variable Dearness Allowance) for private Security Agency Houses.
The increased VDA shall be payable to the employees or workers employed under Private Security Agency Houses with effect from 01st January, 2021.

Requirement to become Private Security Guard
As per the information received from most of the security Agencies, following are the requirement to peruse career in the filed of Security Guard:
- Minimum Educational qualification is 10th standard (For some Categories 12th Standard) or above.
- Person should be physically and mentally fit.
- Person should comply with the standard set by the Security Agency.
- Person should clear the Written & physical standard Test conducted by the Security Agency.
- NCC & Scout and Guide certificate holder may get added advantage of getting hired.
- Selected Candidate should clear the training program conducted by the Security Agency.
