Assam professional Tax department has rolled out new portal for E-services from the month August 2021.
All the existing tax payer may face issue in log in using their existing user id and password. To avail the e- services all the existing and new tax payer need to register themselves in the new Assam Professional Tax Portal. In this article we will guide in the process of registering in the new porta in simple steps.
Registration process for Existing Taxpayer in Assam Professional Tax new Portal
The registration process is explained in few simple steps:
Click on the new user sign up button on the right side corner.
After clicking on sign up button a pop-up page will appear and click on Accept button.
Click Yes on existing tax payer.
Put your existing user Id and Password and type the captcha code and click on validate.

After clicking on validate your already registered certificate details will show up in the window.
You need to put the company PAN details under the heading Business Details.
Then under the heading of Applicant Details provide the Authorized person name, mobile number email Id and select the relation of the employee with company from the drop down menu.
Then under the heading of Attachment upload the company PAN card in jpg format. Size should be less than 1 MB.
After uploading PAN card type the captcha code and click on submit.
A massage will appear in the next window like Success! Sign up details submitted successfully. Please log in using Taxpayer Id and existing password.
Then go back to the home page of the website and click on log in.
Log in using existing user and and password and in next step you will be requested to change your existing password.
Change the password and log in again. Now you can avail the services provided by department in the all new Assam Professional Tax portal.
