EPF withdrawal limit was Rs. 50,000 earlier against illness if you went to apply for partial withdrawal from your provident fund account.
Now the EPF withdrawal limit has been increased to Rs. 1 Lac against illness from your provident fund account for treatment of yourself and your dependent loved one.

How to Apply for PF Advance claim?
If you want to apply for PF Advance against illness or any other reason you may follow the below flow chart:
- Visit official website (PF Member Portal).
- Log in to your PF Account using UAN and Password.
- After successful log in to your pf account go to Online Services.
- Under Online Services, you have to select claim( From 31, 19, 10C& 10D)
- in next page you have to provide the account number linked with your PF Account and verify.
- After verification you may proceed for online claim.
- Select claim option select PF Advance (Form 31).
- Then select the PF account against which account you want to apply for the advance claim if you have multiple pf account.
- Select the appropriate claim reason like illness, construction of house etc. according to your eligibility.
- Provide the communication address as per aadhaar.
- Upload bank account proof in jpeg format and size of the bank proof not above 500 kb.
- Next click on the check box in the left hand side corner and validate your claim with Aadhaar OTP and submit.
- Your claim will be processed accordingly and you will get the amount within few days in your registered bank account.
