Employee State Insurance corporation has published its notification on implementation in few new district in Assam dated 27.09.2021. These district were not covered under the purview of the ESIC Act, 1948 previously.
Before publishing the notification, out of 33 district in Assam, ESIC Act, 1948 has covered and fully implemented in 6 district, partially implemented in 18 district and not implemented in 9 districts.
ESIC Implementation in Assam Update
As per the latest notification of ESIC, now out of 9 non-implemented districts 6 districts will going to come under the purview of the Act. These districts were:
- Baksa.
- Charaideo.
- Dima Hasao.
- Hailakandi.
- Kokrajhar.
- Hojai.

Now employees covered under ESIC working in the above district can avail the benefit provided by the ESIC under social security scheme.

- Sonitpur.
- Tinsukia.
