ESIC has issued a circular on 25th October, 2022 addressing all employer not to Update Wrong Bank Account Details of Insured Person at the time of Registration.
Every employer required to register newly joined ESIC eligible employee within 10 days from the date of joining. And required to provide E- Pehchan Card to the employee.
During the registration process, employee’s personal data like Mobile number, Name, Family details, address Dispensary details etc. required to update in ESIC.
Along with that employer also required to update bank account details against the insured person at the time of registration. This will help the insured person to get cash benefit from ESIC against claim as per eligibility.
Some time employer outsource their compliance to outsource vendor or consultant to carry out the compliance part. And the consultant or vendor manage the compliances of companies on their behalf.

As per ESIC rule, every Insured person should have a single IP number whether they have changed the company multiple time. Aside that every insured person should have a unique Bank Account number linked with their IP number.
During, routine check of various details of employer, ESIC found duplicate Bank account details against many Insured person.
This is not only for a particular employer, such practice noticed by ESIC official for many employer and advice the employer to take necessary steps to do the correction process on immediate effect.
ESIC also urges employer to monitor the activity on the Consultant/Vendor as the consultant or vendor take the log in credential to maintain the compliances like ESIC, PF etc.
All Branch Managers with a request to verify the bank details of the IP with the valid document before making any benefit payment.
