How to submit Grievance at EPF in details

EPFO has introduces new Grievance Redressal system that enables EPF members, employers, EPF pensioners and others to get their EPF related queries solved within a short period of time without much hassle. To submit Grievance at EPF only need a few minutes and respective EPF office has address the grievance and provide most possible resolution within a couple of days.

Who can submit EPF Grievance?

EPF grievance can be submitted by following categories of person:

  1. PF Member.
  2. EPS Pensioner.
  3. Employer.
  4. Others.

Reason to submit EPF Grievance

The above categories of person can submit grievance for the redressal of their queries related to the following areas:

  • PF Office.
    • Final PF withdrawal.
    • Non Transfer of PF accumulation.
    • Passbook related issues.
    • KYC related issues
    • Non Settlement of PF Advance claim.
    • Technical issues.
    • Covid 19 Advance related issues and so on.
  • Employer.
    • PF contribution related issues.
    • Claim for attestation related issues.
    • Non remittance of assessed amount by employer.
    • PF benefit given on lesser salary and so on.
  • EDLI.
    • Non settlement of EDLI claims.
    • Erroneous calculation of EDLI benefit.
  • Pre Pension.
    • Non Settlement of withdrawal claim under EPS 95.
    • Scheme certificate related issues.
    • Non transfer of pension details to pension disbursing office from pension authorizing office.

How to submit Grievance at EPF as a PF Member?

The simple step by step guide to submit Grievance is provided here:

  • Visit EPF Grievance portal.
  • Select Register Grievance.
  • Select the status of the person submitting Grievance.
    • PF member: then need to provide your UAN in the next step and put the security code showing in the right side and click on Get details.
  • EPF pensioner: then need to provide your PPO number in the next step and put the security code showing in the right side and click on Get details.
  • Employer: then need to provide your establishment name in the next step and put the security code showing in the right side and click on Get details.
  • If your category falls on others then need to provide complete personal contact and address details in first part and in second part the Grievance details need to provide. And then put the security code showing in the right side and click on submit.
    • After clicking on get details your UAN details like UAN number mail ID and will be reflect in the computer screen. You need to click on Get OTP.
    • After Successful OTP verification you will be landed to the below page.
    EPF Grievance
    • You have to provide the basic details like address, contact details and put the security code and then click on the PF number showing in Grievance details against which PF number you are willing to submit Grievance.
    • In next step you have to select the category to whom your grievance is related like PF office, employer, EDLI and Pre pension. Then you have to select the Exact issue from the drop down menu. Then write the description of your query or issue.
    • You may attached relevant documents in PDF file with your grievance and then click on ADD. And then Submit.
    • Your Grievance has been submitted online and you will get the Registration Number via SMS/Email. Using the number you can check the status in the Home page by clicking on View Status.
    • To view the status you have to provide your Registration number, Mobile Number or Email ID and then put the security code showing in the right side and click on submit.
    • You will also receive an SMS/Email in your registered mobile number and Email ID when EPF has address or solve your query.
    • If you are not satisfied with the resolution provided by PF then you may give your rating at the time of viewing the grievance status. Otherwise you may submit a new grievance with proper details.

    How to get Annexure K by submitting grievance

    The process of getting Annexure K via grievance portal is almost similar as above but you have to remember the following point:

    • You have to select your previous PF account number from which you have transfer the provident fund to your present PF account number.
    • In grievance category you have to select Non Transfer of PF accumulation.
    • And in description you have to write clearly that you need Annexure K for the transfer from your previous PF account to present PF account.
    • Then only respective PF office will send you Annexure K in mail or they may attached the Annexure K in the view status section of the Grievance portal . You just need to check the status after receiving SMS from PF office regarding your submitted grievance.
